Jim Tesch has enjoyed a 40-year, broad business career varying from international corporate management to the founding of his own entrepreneurial venture.
After a 13-year stay with Alcoa that included numerous sales and marketing positions plus Washington, D.C. government liaison, he then built a brokerage firm doing mergers and acquisitions in Colorado and New Mexico.
That was followed by a term as COO of a high-tech, “Star Wars” spin-off company for which he managed an IPO on the London stock exchange.
For 12 years he chaired two TEC CEO (now Vistage) groups and one Key Executive group that he started in Chicago. He now serves as President of Central Lift Maintenance Group, a heavy equipment maintenance company, and sits on 4 corporate advisory boards.
He continues his consulting work in strategic planning and related organizational development for high growth companies.
Jim earned his bachelor’s degree in Marketing and his MBA in International Business at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
He is married with 4 children; enjoys golf, gardening and international travel; and divides his time between Chicago and St. Augustine, Florida.

You’re my kind of guy–OLD! (Ha) You must be older then me because when I was young the tunes from the booth-side jukes were ten cents each or three for a quarter! And the Andrew sisters and Sinatra gave up their spaces on the list for Brenda Lee, Elvis, Ricky Nelson, etc.
After marrying a blues man, my life has been different–we live the “blues” but with the joy of Christ and I wouldn’t change a thing!
